UCL Night : Real Madrid vs Inter Milan
My Experience Watching the Real Madrid Vs Inter Milan UCL Match
I watched Real Madrid vs Inter Milan yesterday, and honestly, this was not an easy game to watch as a Madrid fan. Madrid won 2-1, but there were moments when I genuinely thought the game could slip away from us.
From the start, I was expecting Madrid to control the game, but Inter came with a lot of intensity. They were not afraid to attack and they created some really dangerous moments. Madrid had their chances too, and whenever the ball went forward, it felt like something could happen.
When Madrid finally got the breakthrough, it was a great feeling. Kylian Mbappé found the net and gave Madrid the lead. Watching him score in a big game like this is something I never get tired of. Madrid looked more confident after the goal, and for a while, I thought we might take control of the match.
Federico Valverde then made it 2-0, and at that point I was feeling much more comfortable. A two goal lead against Inter felt like a good position to be in. But football rarely lets you relax that easily.
Inter kept pushing and they eventually got their goal through Carlos Augusto in the 77th minute. That completely changed the feeling of the game. Suddenly, every Inter attack looked dangerous and I was just waiting for the final whistle.
For me, Thibaut Courtois was one of the biggest reasons Madrid managed to hold on. He made some huge saves when Inter were putting pressure on us. There were a few moments where I was already expecting the ball to go in, but Courtois somehow managed to keep it out.
The final minutes were stressful. Madrid were trying to defend their lead while Inter kept looking for the equaliser. As a Madrid supporter, those final moments felt much longer than they actually were. I was basically watching the clock and hoping Madrid could just finish the game.
Then came the final whistle.
Real Madrid won 2-1.
It was not the kind of victory where Madrid completely dominated from beginning to end, but that almost made the win feel better. We were tested, Inter created problems and Madrid still found a way to get the result.
I think this is what I like about watching Madrid. Even when the game becomes difficult, there is always that feeling that we can find a way to win. Yesterday was another example of that.
Inter deserve credit because they made the game difficult, but at the end of the night, it was Madrid who walked away with the win.
As a Madrid fan, I will take the 2-1 and move on. Three points, a big performance from Courtois and another night where Real Madrid found a way to get the job done.
